Swan 601-3 is one of only eight of these high performance Mini-Maxis built, and the only one available for race charter. The 601 is the definitive Swan high performance racer cruiser and is as competitive today as when the first of these racing cruisers were launched in 2004. Full carbon construction and SPRINT technology keeps the displacement down to only 18,000 Kg despite a full cruising interior in classic Nautor Swan styling.This immaculate Swan is first a racer – but with a comfortable cruise interior.The deck layout is perfection to race with a large crew without the usual obstacles to crossing the deck and cockpit during tacks.While the 601 may look like a beast, in fact she’s actually a simple and well-laid-out yacht. With six multi-function winches and two coffee-grinders, along with the capability to fly large asymmetric from the custom bowsprit, every crew member plays an active role on this yacht. Like any high performance yacht, the 601 does require a lot of concentration from her helmsman and trimmers, all of whom must work together to keep the yacht from falling off her numbers. Building speed out of a tack or gybe, for example, requires a carefully co-ordinated effort, but her speed provides ample reward.Coded for up to 17 crew inshore and 14 for offshore racing.Available for both inshore and offshore racing and high performance cruising in the Western Mediterranean from May to November and the Caribbean from January to May.
